iHome iHM60GT Rechargeable Mini Speaker (Gray Translucent)

Although the internal speakers on my computer, a Sony Vaio laptop and sometimes need a little 'more volume and clarity. If necessary, usually fly out of the eye - but recently I wanted to play something on my computer at work, it is not easy to wear eye, ear, so that the "need" one. In these small portable speakers.

After reading the comments on a portable laptop / iPod / iPhone Speaker, I narrowed my choices to three voices, and ordered all three.
I think that choosing one of the best people to come back and check at the same time .... So I have a choice of three X-Mini II speaker capsules, IHOME a small speaker. Charger for iPod (Blue) and Altec Lansing speakers im-237 Orbit Ultraportable. MP3 Player (Silver).

I tried all three speakers on my Sony Vaio laptop, iPhone 3G and my iPod 60 gig of my work with all three speakers and three devices were compared and evaluated.

One more thing: even if two of the three speakers, a USB charging cable, none of them have USB USB to charge the speaker, the sound is controlled via the headset controls.

1) X-Mini II Capsule ---- audio speakers as small as possible. I like the atmosphere and design. It feels right. It looks like a small tablet / capsule, and then springs open to reveal the bellows to increase volume. The sound is focused and clear, but the third in volume and sound quality. It 'was only three I tried the speakers with volume control. I do not see the need to control the speaker volume, just inches away from the sound source. It has a built-in speaker for when you want to run on internal batteries. It also includes a USB cable, charger / speaker .... insert a plug into computer USB port to recharge the battery and connect the two speakers to the headphones output on your computer (or iPod),

so if Speaker of the battery, simply connect a second computer, and you run the backup and the ' execution. If you use speakers to listen to your iPod or iPhone, you're out of luck if the battery is dead, the speaker until you get a USB power source nearby. Unfortunately, the speakers are connected and the charger / USB speaker cable is very fragile. It also has a speaker jack that allows you to daisy chain the speakers together. Not really a selling point because people tend to buy these speakers because they are small and compact ... so those who want to bring with them two? But I think that does not allow daisy chaining Athough 2-3 flexibiity more of these little things together simply do not make good financial sense. So volume control, as well as, speaker jack is not for me. It comes with a carrying bag, little has been made of materials that

Main --- looks and feels right, small / compact, good sound considering its size. Rechargeable battery. The decision to use the built-in cable or USB cable and charger / speaker.
--- Against the worst in terms of volume and bass. (But still not bad) is thin.

2) IHOME small speakers that can be charged for iPod (Blue) ---- This speaker is very similar to X-Mini II is an important difference: it is larger than the X-Mini is not seen as a ". Shadow" Do not I have a volume control. But those who want to continue or not. Does not have the USB charging cable .... Solo / speakers .... but it is much stronger than the X-Mini sound is fuller bass with more pronounced .... . may be due to the larger diameter and the length of the lung. Comes with heavy duty black bag for transport, which is more important than that used for the X-Mini speakers, bag and remove the jack, as well as X-Mini II speakers daisy chained.

--- # 2 includes the vocals and bass, small / compact rechargeable battery. Nicer sturdy carrying bag, USB cable and $ 10 cheaper than the X-Mini.
--- Cons of '"shadow" / The X-Mini is a small built-in speakers, so you need a larger USB charger / speaker.

3) Altec Lansing Orbit Ultraportable im-237 speaker system for MP3 (Silver) --- This is the speaker. It weighs about the same as IHOME USB cable to recharge the built-in speakers .... only a run on three AAA batteries, I have not used long enough to test battery life. If the operation is a deluxe zippered case that really protects the speaker. There is also a lanyard and clip caribiner speaker of the event. Sounds from other classes of the second volume and bass.

Highlights of the best sound --- 3 AAA batteries 3 (without batteries die on you) Built-in speakers and carrying case are very good.
--- The greatest weakness of the 3 AAA batteries 3 (with the battery. But they tend to die) are available in a power cable.

So ..... I was one of the treatments? This is a good question. I would definitely come in X-Mini II is the worst of the three, has a delicate and expensive as Altec, iHome if he wants to use a more cumbersome, it sounds better and costs $ 10 less than the X-Mini. II no-brainer.

How about Altec? That sounds great, but it has some limitations, I could keep both, but I'm definitely keeping iHome iHome and Altec, who won in each round, the audio speakers firing when you compare prices and features.

Note the pair. IHome Speaker crazy is bound to a package of cable, making it very difficult to remove. I finished packing in order to remove the iHome speakers, but maybe not on purpose, so as to discourage returns. Very annoying, but not a deal-breaker iHome line of a hard plastic clip attached to it must be used as binding wire. I have a very good experience. But I was not able to bend the line back up and cut together again, nice try, but iHome velcro strap design of X-Mini II is very good ..... too bad they decided to include as the thin
